Jesus is the "Free Gift"

Salvation (being born
again, being saved, becoming a Christian, accepting Christ as your Savior) is a
free gift from God.
But like any other gift offered to you it isn't yours until you reach out and
take it.
How do you do that?

A.
Admit that you are a sinner and that you
are in need of God's forgiveness.
"For all have
sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
~Romans 3:23~

B.
Repent of your sin, for the
wages of sin is death.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord."
~Romans 6:23~

C. Ask Jesus to
forgive you of your sin, accept
Him as your Savior, and give Him control of your life.
"For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
~Romans 10:13~

D. Tell someone of your
decision to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
"That if you
confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God
raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
~Romans 10:9~

Your prayer may go something like this:
"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I know that my sin
must be paid for. I accept Your death on the cross as payment for my sin.
Please come into my
heart and save me. I give You my life, and accept You as Savior, I make You Lord
of my life. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me."

What
counts is what is in your heart. If you pray that prayer or a prayer like that
and mean it,
then Jesus will do exactly what you ask Him to do. You will be new, forgiven,
and blameless in Christ.

If you have prayed that
prayer and would like to have further assistance in following Jesus, please
email me and I will gladly respond, if you would like to talk just call me.
